In the face of profound adversity, Kelowna’s local music community comes together to support one another. Spearheading the efforts is Nevaeh Dyson, a passionate local artist who was one of the lucky few who managed to get her performance in at the now
cancelled Salmon Arm Roots & Blues festival, who has now organized a heartfelt fundraiser concert aimed at aiding the victims of the recent devastating wildfires that have ravaged our community.
The concert, titled "Fund The Fight: A Concert of Hope and Healing," is set to take place on Thursday, August 24 at The Mission Hall in Kelowna. Doors will open at 6:30, and the event promises an evening of inspiring music, unity, and a shared commitment to rebuilding our community.
Nevaeh Dyson, known for her powerful voice, storytelling songs, and dynamic performances, has gathered a lineup of talented local musicians who are all donating their time and talents for this important cause. The concert will feature a diverse range of musical genres, ensuring
there's something for everyone to enjoy. Attendees can expect an immersive experience that reflects the resilience and spirit of our community. All proceeds from ticket sales, along with proceeds from the silent auction, will be directed towards aiding the victims of the wildfires
and are being funneled through Mamas for Mamas. The funds raised will provide essential support for families who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and belongings in the wake of this catastrophic natural disaster. Dyson firmly believes that through the power of music and
collective action, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected.
